Why not remove it myself?
You can - and will be much harder work than you
anticipate. A number of boats we see have been started by the
owner before he calls in the experts in desperation.
Conventional DIY methods involve
Scraping
this inevitably damages the hull
no matter how careful you are and it is extremely hard work.
Chemical Strippers
are expensive, labour intensive and you will almost certainly need more
chemical than the tins suggest. We also know of cases of very serious
injury caused by chemical burns.
In both cases you will need to sand
the hull all over once you've finished, which involves even more hard work..
Why not leave it to us?
This will ensure
that your boat will have the best possible finish, ready to paint or epoxy. It will be quick, clean and safe.
